LAST WEEK OF THE TRAINING | 21st Century Skills Training

 Oh! What two weeks it has been! You couldn't believe what happened in the previous weeks even if I told you but I AM BACK. I missed you so much. Those days a bit lonely as we are always at home however I have a good opportunty to make my loneliness more bearable. Yes, I'm talking about 21st Century Skills Teacher Training. Two week ago, we had our last training meeting and it was very informative and fun. If your are interested, keep reading! We have discussed about an article, Teaching Material in EIL by Matsuda, in the first session.  This article focuses on important parts of materials and textbooks. We have made a group and whole class discussion on this topic by sharing our reflections on the article. We found out that materials should include diverse representation of different things such as cultures, ideologies, accents, visuals, etc. Also, the article point out to the evaluation of materials by giving different criteria. A Bunch of Tools | 21st Century Skills Training

  Hey friends!  How are you? How was your week? I hope you did fine and ready to learn more about 21 st  Century Skills. This week’s training was all about tools that we can use in our teaching process and work life. I’ve found some of them really interesting and helpful, and I will share them with you further in this post. The first tool was Edpuzzle, which is a website that allows you to add questions and notes to a video and make it interactive. I think that this tool is very useful in teaching, especially with asynchronous learning. Also, this website gives you a chance to mark your students’ work.  Hello friends! I hope you're having a good day with lots of sunlight and health. I'm at work and feeling well. In these COVID-19 days, going work and doing something out of my house feels levitating. We have mainly talked about three different terms; technophobe, digital immigrant, digital native. An Important Point to be made! | 21st Century Skills Training

  Hello friends! It's been a week and I'm here again with 21st Century Skills Training. This week was very busy because of mid-terms and homework. However, 21st Century Skills Training made my week. This weeks focus was on copyright issues, licensing, cyber security and being critical with digital information and media.  Embed from Getty Images  For the first session, we focused on copyright, licensing and cyber security. Do you know that every work of your intelligence can and should be copyrighted to your own name? Also, you have to act according to copyright terms of a work in order to use it and these terms have renge of differences from work to work. Another thing that must be known in terms of copyright is that teachers can use a work partially if they are making use of that work for teaching materials. I FEEL ENGLIGHTENED! | 2ND WEEK OF 21ST CENTURY SKILLS TRAINING

  Hello friends! It’s been a week and half since the last post of mine. There has been quite busyness in my life but there is one thing that I enjoy in all busyness which is 21st Skills Training Course. In the 2nd week of this training, we have touched into two main topics which are collaboration skills and English as a global phenomena.    In the first section of the class, we have focused on collaboration skills. At the beginning of the session, our teacher Melda Yılmaz introduced us to Linoit which is a website that allows you to create boards with sticky papers. In our session we used it to create stories. As groups, we were given certain words to chose from, then with my friends created a story using those words. At the end, we shared them as sticky notes, on our class board, with class mates. A Step into 21st Century

  Last Friday I started a training program on 21st century skills and the very first lesson was mostly a wonderful discussion. Beginning with a presentation on critical thinking, we discussed different questions such as “What is critical thinking?”, “Who is a critical thinker?”, What type of qualities differentiate a strong and weak critical thinker from each other?”. After discussing all these questions some of us stated that their perspective on critical thinking had changed accordingly. Then, we participated in some kind of a game about understanding a critical thinker’s mind and we chose the possible statements which a critical thinker might make in some situations. It was fun!  In the second part of our training session, our teachers Melda Yılmaz and Dilek İnal trained us about English’s being a global language. Sutori of Everything

Hi everyone! I guess now that you know I love literature. So, I have made another work on literature but this time I have used Sutori to tell you about my story. Sutori is, again, a website in which you can create stories as you can see down below. What's more interesting is that you can also convert your prepared stories into presentations and do not need any other gear to create presentations. Additionally, it allows you to add images, links, videos, and audios as any interesting presentation or story should be. What I have most liked about it is the feature which helps you to add quizzes to your story. In short, Sutori has all the things making your work easier and more interesting.
