Duolingo & Memrise | Have Fun!

Hi everyone!

I know that vocabulary learning is a big thing most of the people because with traditional techniques it’s so boring. However, technology brings its benefits with itself and gives us different opportunities to learn languages. Today, want to talk about two different application I found very useful.

Firstly, I’m gonna talk about Duolingo. It’s an application within which you can find different languages to learn. If you ask why Duolingo, I would say that it’s not boring and old school. Today, we don’t like anything that brings the need of vomiting, also anything that is boring won’t help you to learn something because your motivation will be much lower each day. In a nutshell, please try it and inform me on your thoughts.

Secondly, Memrise would be a good choice to work on. Memrise simply the same thing with Duolingo but there is one thing that made my mind blown. That thing is the camera detection system of Memrise. You can hold your phone to any object and it shows you it’s name and meaning. Of course, sometimes, it makes wrong assumptions but we cannot deny its usefulness. Please give it a try!

CREATE YOUR CANVA!

Hi everyone! Have you ever heard about Canva? It is an application that helps you with pre-made drafts of different kinds of cards. You can use these cards in order to fulfill different purposes but today I want to mention its use in education. Canva can be used in education while studying special days and holidays of a country, creating brochures, or you can give your students reading lists and they create a summary of a book by using different photos and they can present their cards in class. You can see an example of mine above. I have created a Canva in the name of a Turkish Holiday. Click Here to Go Canva!

An Important Point to be made! | 21st Century Skills Training

Hello friends! It's been a week and I'm here again with 21st Century Skills Training. This week was very busy because of mid-terms and homework. However, 21st Century Skills Training made my week. This weeks focus was on copyright issues, licensing, cyber security and being critical with digital information and media.  Embed from Getty Images  For the first session, we focused on copyright, licensing and cyber security. Do you know that every work of your intelligence can and should be copyrighted to your own name? Also, you have to act according to copyright terms of a work in order to use it and these terms have renge of differences from work to work. Another thing that must be known in terms of copyright is that teachers can use a work partially if they are making use of that work for teaching materials. On the other hand, we learned about how to get a license for others' work. All those information were useful in terms of knowing how to use the data that we found a...

Sutori of Everything

Hi everyone! I guess now that you know I love literature. So, I have made another work on literature but this time I have used Sutori to tell you about my story. Sutori is, again, a website in which you can create stories as you can see down below. What's more interesting is that you can also convert your prepared stories into presentations and do not need any other gear to create presentations. Additionally, it allows you to add images, links, videos, and audios as any interesting presentation or story should be. What I have most liked about it is the feature which helps you to add quizzes to your story. In short, Sutori has all the things making your work easier and more interesting. As always, I have created an example and in this example, I have mentioned the novels of Jane Austen. If you want to know more about the website you can click here .
